The popularity of the internet has grown over the last several years and with it is the availability of the work at home jobs. A person really can stay at home and make a living working on their personal computers and laptops. The best part about working from your home is you do not have to be at home to work. Simply take your laptop and your briefcase with you if you want to go somewhere.
There are online agencies that hire independent contractors to be virtual secretaries, virtual assistants, and for customer service representatives. The jobs can be, done by both men and women all you need is the skills to complete the jobs. Experience helps too although it is not required for some of the positions. So of the positions do require prior experience in the positions you are applying. You will never be, asked to pay any company to work for them you may be, required to pay for a background check by some of the companies. That is all you should never have to pay any fee to work at a real job.

Some of the things you will need to do the required jobs are for one a nice quiet part of your home or an out building that you can turn into an office will work well. The office must have a phone line to receive inbound or make outbound calls. The office will need high speed DSL or some wireless carriers will work this is to link to the main office you are working for. You will need a complete computer system that will be compatible with the company you are working.
An all in one printer, fax, copy, scan, system is also useful as you may be required to fax or send documents to and from the company at times. The office needs to have a pleasant feel and be warm and or cool so you are comfortable at all times. Get yourself a nice well fitting desk chair that is comfortable to you. You will be spending a lot of time at your personal computer or laptop if you intend to do this full time and make a career of virtual secretary.
Then you are ready to begin working you will have to go onto the internet and search for virtual secretaries, virtual operators, or virtual assistants. There are several companies to choose from or you may apply to several. You will be required to fill out an application, and some require you take a typing test. Others require a background check this is a real job and you must work at your own pace and be self-motivated and complete deadlines. Some of the companies require you to work during peak calling hours as well. There is good money to be, made in this type of outsourcing work.
